Orders and shipping
How long does delivery take?
Delivery takes 8 to 16 days to any US address. We email a tracking link once your parcel is on its way so you can follow it to your door.
Is shipping free?
Shipping is free on US orders over $79. Below that amount, the shipping cost is shown at checkout before you pay, so you always see the full total before confirming the order.
Do you ship outside the US?
No, we currently ship to US addresses only. If you are outside the US and want to know when that changes, email us and we will keep your request on file.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Email us as soon as possible with your order number. If the order has not been handed to the carrier yet, we can usually change the address or cancel it. Once shipped, use the returns process instead.
Returns
What is your return policy?
Unused items can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Email us with your order number and the item you want to send back, and we will reply with the return steps and the address to use.
When do I get my refund?
We issue the refund once the returned item reaches us and is checked as unused. It goes back to the original payment method, and your bank or card provider then sets how long it takes to appear.
What if my item arrives damaged?
Email us within a few days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the damage and the packaging. We will reply with the next step to put it right.
Fit and sizing
How do I know a tamper will fit my machine?
Match the tamper to your basket's inside diameter, most often 51, 54 or 58 mm. Check your machine's manual or measure the basket, then choose the same size on the product page.
Which filters does my dripper take?
Each dripper uses a filter of a matching shape and size, listed on its product page. Cone drippers take cone filters, flat bottom drippers take flat filters. Email us your dripper model if you are unsure.
Will a kettle work on my stove?
Check the stovetop types listed on the kettle's product page before ordering. Induction needs a magnetic base, which not every kettle has. If the page does not say, email us and we will check.
Brewing
What coffee to water ratio should I use?
Start with 1:16 for pour over, about 20 g of coffee to 320 g of water. Use less water for a stronger cup and more for a lighter one, changing one thing at a time.
Do I really need a scale?
A scale is the easiest way to repeat a good cup. Scoops vary with the bean and the roast, but grams do not. A scale with a timer also tracks your brew time in the same place.
Why is my coffee sour or bitter?
Sour usually means under extracted, so grind finer or brew longer. Bitter usually means over extracted, so grind coarser or brew shorter. Change one variable at a time and taste the difference.
Should I buy a hand grinder?
A hand grinder is worth it if you buy whole beans. Grinding right before brewing keeps more flavor, and a burr grinder lets you set the size for each method, from espresso to French press.
