How a nectar feeder works
Nectar sits in a covered bottle or basin and is reached through small feeding ports. Birds drink at the ports, so the nectar stays covered between visits. Fill it only part way at first, since nectar spoils if it sits too long.
Nectar and changing it
Nectar is not included and is easy to make: one part plain white sugar dissolved in four parts water, cooled before filling. Skip honey, sweeteners and red dye. Change it every few days, and more often in hot weather.
Cleaning and care
Rinse and scrub the reservoir and ports with hot water at every refill. A small bottle brush reaches the ports. Avoid soaps that leave residue, and let each part dry before you put the feeder back together.
Does this come with seed or nectar?
No, seed and nectar are not included, and we do not sell them. Seed cannot ship from overseas, so buy it locally. Nectar is easy to make at home from one part white sugar to four parts water.
How long does delivery take?
Orders arrive in 8 to 16 days. Everything ships from partner warehouses overseas, which is why it takes longer than a local store. Shipping is free on US orders over $79.
Can I return it?
Yes, unused items can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Email us first with your order number and we will reply with the return steps. Keep the original packaging if you can.
What if I am unsure it suits my space?
Email us before you order and we will help. Tell us where you plan to hang or mount it, and we will answer with what we know about the item, and say plainly when we do not know.
